Type error making Swarm 2.0.1

Hi Marcus,
 I was making Swarm 2.0.1, got the following error:

"wrong type argument char-or-string-p; nil
makefile common error 255"

 I'm using Redhat 6.0 with gcc 2.95.1, and any advice would be most
appreciated!!!
