Yes, I have trouble making this clear. If you look in the santa fe site,
there is a readme with the RPMS that explains all this in extremely high
detail!

If you have RedHat linux, and you have the kaffe they provide, then you
need the swarm base package and the swarm-kaffe addon.

IF you don't want to use kaffe, but instead you want Blackdown JDK or
IBM JDK, then you have to use an alternative approach. I'm currently
offering the swarm base and swarm-jdk rpms on my site that go with the
Blackdown JDK. On my site, there is also an explanation of the rpm
install.

If you need more building-from-source help than is currently in the faq,
I'm sorry I can't help.  Really, you just need the appropriate
combination of ./configure, make , and make install, and I've written
down as much as I know in here:
