Hi Marcus,
we have followed your suggestions regarding the FreeBSD-related
compiler problems. We are having somewhat more fundamental problems
now with the update, as follows:

Compilation of the bulk of the Java files is not even attempted during
the 'make'. The result is that the swarm.jar produced is
 missing most of the classes.

We tried the most recent snapshot (swarm-1999-12-01) anyway, after the
first suggestion did not work. SWARM compiled successfully but j-heatbugs
does not run, although it does compile. The error message given
when j-heatbugs is run is included at the bottom of this message. It is
given before the control panel appears on the screen, immediately
 following the 'javaswarm StartHeatbugs' command.

Any suggestions ?
Thanks,
Andre.
