(too continue my previous half-message re pre-empted definition warnings)
    In fact, whan I come to rebuild my old programs,
I get:

sg 24% gmake
gcc -c -O2 -Wall -Wno-import -Wno-protocol -Werror   -DAPPNAME=template    -I/usr/local/include main.m
cc1obj: warnings being treated as errors
main.m: In function `main':
main.m:18: warning: implicit declaration of function `initSwarm'
gmake: *** [main.o] Error 1

    - presumably precisely that problem...?!
