Wow. All these users wanting to build their own.  It shows some
determination.

This has not happened to me in a while, but it did happen a lot when
building 2.0.1 against the Blackdown/SUN JDK.  Are you building swarm
from the 2.0.1 release package? If so, why not try the newest testing
version from the testing directory in ftp?

You need the newer kaffe, you know?  

The compiler that comes with kaffe won't work. You need jikes version
0.47 (not their newer ones, last I heard).  There are some notes about
this in the SwarmOnlineFaq.

You can build without java support by adding the configure flag
--withoutjdkdir.

I still am not able to build development versions of swarm against the
JDK, and I believe that problem is related to SMP and threads issues,
and I'm waiting for kernel release 2.2.15.
