The javac in jdk-1.3 will work. Not the one in Kaffe. That is why jikes
is used to build it on kaffe systems.  The last time I dug into it, with
Marcus, jikes version 0-.47 worked, but ones after did not, so I keep a
copy of the older one here

It may be jikes after version 1.1 has fixed the problems that existed,
but I did not try.
