2.1.1 install problem

I can't get 2.1.1 to install.  I am rebuilding my software after some crashes that needed  recovery down to an fdisk.  Anyway, Swarm 2.1.1 was installed on drive E: which no longer exists but every time I try to reinstall, it imnmediatly goes into the "remove application" phase, and never finishes.  I think it is looking to remove a dll that it can't find.  Is the installer looking in the registry and thinking that there is already an install and that is why it tries to do an uninstall first?

 

How can I get around this?
