I would expect Windows 2000 and NT to behave pretty much the same.
I'll zip the whole thing up and send it to you.

By current fixes, I loaded the latest and greatest from the ftp site on Sept
18th:
address@hidden//c/Swarm-2.1.1/bin] $ ls -l *dll

and
address@hidden//c/Swarm-2.1.1/share/swarm] $ ls -l sw*

> MDG> Here's my test-program: ...

The test program worked fine, just like expected.

However, when I inserted the test() in my guiSwarm subclass and called it, I
got the same stackdump:
$ javaswarm FredSwarm
...
address@hidden
swarm.collections.MapIndexImpl
swarm.collections.MapIndexImpl
Internal error: caught an unexpected exception.
Please check your CLASSPATH and your installation.
java/lang/NullPointerException
      0 [sig] Kaffe 1408 stackdump: Dumping stack trace to
Kaffe.exe.stackdump

I am inserting stuff in my schedule on the fly, and maybe somehow this
causes the stackdump.

Unfortunately, when I try the debugger, I get:

 $ gdb javaswarm FredSwarm
GNU gdb 20000204
Copyright 2000 Free Software Foundation, Inc.

This GDB was configured as "i686-pc-cygwin"..."/bin/javaswarm": not in
executable format: File format not recognized

GDB can't read core files on this machine.
(gdb)
(gdb) q

So why is javaswarm not in executable format? Isn't it a script?
What do I have to do to get it in executable format?
(BTW, I'm running on Windows NT 4.0, Java 1.3, Swarm 2.1.1)

Thanks again for your help.
It is *very* much appreciated.
