I remember having problems with JDK 1.2.2's reflection interface that
had symptoms like this. It's probably the same thing. For no
apparent reason the relevant JNI call would just return NULL. Since
JDK 1.[34] and Kaffe work for me (on Solaris 8 and elsewhere), I
didn't bother trying to figure out a workaround.
