I suggest setting SWARMDIR in autoexec.bat, but not SWARMHOME.
SWARMHOME is a Cygwin style pathname, and only makes sense in that
context (e.g. set it in .bashrc). SWARMDIR can be used to derive
SWARMHOME, and that's what the .emacs does.
