Could you expand on that a bit please. I don't actually know what a
'backtrace' is, or what it is to 'serialize an object'.

Without a backtrace, my wild guess is that you have a FILE
pointer (or some pointer) in an @interface variable declaration, and
that you are trying to serialize that object.
