Swarm on MacOsX problems

Hi all
  Actually I am trying to compile Swarm  (swarm-2002-01-07.tar.gz ) 
on MacOsX Box with XFree.
I compiled all the needed,
I remove some lines to use libffi instead of avcall library.
But I have problems with activity and defobj due to the fact that 
there are some problems with
.xm files.
Can anyone tell me what the exacty role of .xm files?
All the other libraries have been compiled (but I don't know if they work :-(()
I hope to have a full working version of Swarm under MacOsX.
Actually I have more time to dedicate to the porting (only a week).

P.S. Can anyone send me, privately, the activity.xm and defobj,xm so 
I can compare them with files generated from my swarm?
