Thank you for the encouragement.

I think I have found my mistake.  I was applying a patch you sent me 
quite a while ago to fix the Java compile, but it was unnecessary.  Now 
that I have taken a clean CVS download and built RPMs, they seem to work.

I'll upload RPMs on http://pj.freefaculty.org/Swarm  after I test  2 
more computers where I DID NOT build these RPMs.
