Hi Paul,

wich distribution are theese packages built for? The Tcl/Tk packages and
some libraries in Debian 4.0 and Ubuntu 7.10 are too old.

Note that you are using 2.2.4, whereas I posted success with 2.2.5, and
notice also your configure line has some differences. And you are not using
the JDK I recommended.  Other than that, you appear to have followed the
example very well :)

deb packages were announced on swarm-support today.  I expect you ought to
try them.
