If swarmapps-objc works, I think you are where you are supposed to be.

I've not run grid turtle things in a long time.  The errors you see are probably caused by the fact that your computer 
is not set up in the way that the code expects. Does your computer have /usr/local/bin/make-h2x ?? I doubt it, but grid 
tutle is trying to use that program.  I notice that libswarm-dev (the debian package for swarm) installs 
/usr/bin/make-h2x.  So I expect that if you fix your paths, you will make more progress.
