[Swftools-common] recompiling issues

I successfully compiled and used swftools recently, but after trying to
recompile im getting a:

swfcombine: error while loading shared libraries: libt1.so.1: cannot
open shared object file: No such file or directory

When using any of the tools.  the library is there, located in
/usr/local/lib.

Any insight?  Running on Redhat 9.0.
