I'm seeing the same problem with "-T 9 -s insertstop". It looks like "-s insertstop" is being ignored in the generated actionscript 3 swf. I ran the swf in my debug environment, flash player complains "ReferenceError: Error #1065: Variable stop_fla:MainTimeline is not defined". The same works fine when "-T 9" is omitted.

As per your request, see the attached fla and swf files containing a
Flash 9/ActionScript 3 file with 3 frames, the 1st frame containing a
stop(); command.

Hm, I guess the ActionScript used for the "STOP" command isn't working
anymore when the AS version is set to AS3.
If you want to help debug that, please send me a Version 9 SWF file, as
simple as possible, which contains, say, three frames, but stops
at the first frame. The official Flash 9 specifications are not out
yet, so I'll have to reverse engineer the bytecode.
Thanks,
Matthias
