[Swftools-common] swfc segfaults on os/x

Newbie here.  I just installed swftools under OS/X 10.6 using
MacPorts.  No errors visibly reported during compile/install.

The swfc binary does execute:

swfc --version
swfc - part of swftools 0.9.0

However it segfaults on all of the very simple examples I've fed it.

Has anyone had similar problems?  Any suggestions?  Would it be
worthwhile to try compiling from the development source tree?
