[Synaptic-devel] My suggestions!

    First of all I must thank you for synaptic, it must be the greatest tool 
for easy packagement ever. Apt in the terminal is ok, but with synaptic its a 
dream. Thanks a lot. 

I must report some issues I have however:

I'm a redhat 9 user, using the rpm enabled apt and synaptic (the package from 
freshrpms.net). I have experienced that rpm hangs when I have synaptic open, 
and I have to close synaptic to do an rpm -ivh or similar to install something 
new. This is not really a big problem, but quite an annoyance. 

I also miss a "New packages" filter, when there are updates, and there are all 
the time, I would like to see the new packages avalable easily. I think I have 
seen this filter in an earlier version of synaptic, was it removed? If so, why?

And thanks again, synaptic is awsome. Keep it up.
