[Synaptic-devel] hungry synaptic

Hi,
I'm using Synaptic 0.55.3 on FC3 with freshrpms repositories. After 
having done some package updates (mostly gnome an Xorg) when I try to 
update some pkgs synaptic asks to remove (not update) whole lists of 
pkgs. For instance when I try to update rpm it wants to remove, among 
others, apt and synaptic! I assume something's gone wrong with dependencies?
