I agree 100% with David here. TeXmacs is just one tool among
other even if dear to us.
I am all for a modal interface (but clearly so) to avoid to step on
other ressources like window manager bindings. I know the use of
modal interface is very debatable and some people are religious
against it. So Texmacs must be minimally usable in the default mode.
