[Texmacs-dev] Errors while trying to get the sympy plugin latex output to work

Hi everyone,

I'm very new to TeXmacs, and I'd like to make documents using the Python
plugin, and more specifically using the SymPy module. I came across

post  from David Miller, and tried to modify my tm_python file according to
the recommendations in the sympytest.tm file.

When I execute the commands from that file's Python session, an error pops
multiple times, and no output is generated on screen. The error is :

TeXmacs] Error: Initialization of iconv from ISO-8859-1 to UTF-8 failed!

Is there something I'm missing to get this to work?

I am using TeXmacs 1.0.7.19-x11-i386 on a ubuntu environment.
