Details:
The uisp (2004 version) does not seem to work with my 2.6.9 kernel from
Fedora Core 3). It gives an error message when trying to claim the parport
device, in ioctl(fd, PPCLAIM).
On another computer running the kernel 2.4.20 there is no problems with uisp
(2002, the latest 2004 version does not compile).
In both cases, the necessary modules loaded, lp module unloaded etc.
Are there any ongoing efforts to upgrade uisp to the 2.6.x series of the
linux kernel?
Thanks
