There's a UISP package in Fink (fink.sf.net) and probably
also one in
the MacPorts.
For Windows, WinAVR contains a compiled UISP, too.



This is incorrect. WinAVR does NOT contain uisp because it is
unsupported. Please use avrdude instead which IS included in WinAVR.


Sorry, I wanted to clarify what I said above: WinAVR does not contain
uisp because uisp itself is really unmaintained. That is what I meant by
"unsupported".
