Hi Henk,
you are right, a userspace driver would be easier to maintain. One of the
reasons why I hesitated to implement it was libusb being synchronous only
and the interrupt endpoint needs to be polled. Especially for the P1KH
that hurts a bit.
I need to think about the API which might still be specific to a certain
device family like Yealink. Maybe later, with other devices being added
(eg. CM109 based, Freecom), a generalized higher level handset interface
might become necessary.
As soon as there are some reasonable results I will let you know.
