Follow-up Comment #3, patch #3669 (project wesnoth):

This patch does not seem to add a feature that is in great demand by
scenario/unit developers.  It would be better to have invisibility be an
effect that could be controlled via WML so as to enable custom ambush-like
abilities such as submerge, but since currently ambush and its ilk already
adds complications to the AI, there is still the possibility that ambush will
be replaced.  If the AI problems are solved, then a more general configurable
version of ambush may be implimented, but until then I think that this sort
of patch is not worth implimenting.
