I guess the wheel will always be round, no matter who invents it... ;-)

Unfortunately wxWidgets seems to be C++ only, and I don't really know
that. I know that PSWBTM is written using wxWidgets, and that did look
reasonably decent.

By using what originally was the dialog for setting engine options as a
general table-driven dialog generator, run-of-the-mill dialogs are really
no trouble at all, even with Athena widgets. This is why I was never very
motivated to port to a more modern widget set. We are not likely to ever
earn the effort back that such a conversion would take.

It is just that occasionally you run into something where Xaw seems to not
work at all, or just cannot do it. Like mysterious focusing prolems, and
colorization of text for an ICS window.
