Hi Joop,

I tryed the rpm on RedHat 7.3, Mandrake 8.1 and 8.2, but could not get
the dependencies right:

address@hidden tex]# rpm -ivh /data/incoming/xlog-0.7-1.i386.rpm 
error: failed dependencies:
        libhamlib-1.1.3.so.0   is needed by xlog-0.7-1
        libc.so.6(GLIBC_2.3)   is needed by xlog-0.7-1

I have /usr/lib/libhamlib-1.1.3.so.0 (compiled from source) and
/usr/lib/libc.so

Now I proceeded further on RH 7.3, and installed it with the --nodeps
switch (bad habit). When I tryed to run xlog it said:

address@hidden alexc]$ xlog
xlog: /lib/i686/libc.so.6: version `GLIBC_2.3' not found (required by
xlog)

which is not quite true, because I have libc.so.6 in /lib/i686/libc.so.6
(it's a symbolic link to /lib/i686/libc-2.2.5.so).

I don't know what the problem is. I guess my libc.so.6 is not the
'GLIBC_2.3' version?
