Hi 
just a minor observation Joop, I still don't get the default setting for the 
band, ie 144
loaded on the MHz button on the GUI, it always starts up with 0.136 as the 
default.
Its not a problem and probably something strange this end.

the preference file shows:-
 <defaultmhz>144</defaultmhz>
 <defaultmode>SSB</defaultmode>
