And preamble caching.  Turning it off with C-c C-p C-c C-f should do
the trick.

Here, that is the problem.  (
 JPG)
confuses the file name parsing/detection.  This file is under the GPL,
so you are free to modify it without changing its name.  Look for
(JPG) in the file and delete the "LaTeX2e package for") bit, it is
redundant anyway.
