Hallo,
on http://www.cvshome.org/docs/manual/cvs-1.11.6/cvs_21.html you encourage
people to send feedback concerning bugs in cvs. We figured out something
concerning the "broken pipe" error and we would like to share this
information with you hoping it will help you tracking down this error/bug:
When adding or committing files to a repository that uses a special form of
email notification we get this error, but *only* when using Eclipse as IDE.
When using WinCVS or cvs command line version everything works fine, no
matter if email notification has been activated or not.
Also as soon as we deactivate email notification Eclipse works perfectly as
well. The above error only occurs if Eclipse is used in combination with
email notification.
This is the kind of email notification we're talking about:
CVSROOT/loginfo:
DEFAULT /usr/local/bin/activitymail.pl -cdf %{sVv} -t foo@bar.com -p -n
CVSROOT/commitinfo:
DEFAULT /usr/local/bin/activitymail.pl -l
The script activitymail.pl can be found at cpan:
http://search.cpan.org/dist/activitymail/bin/activitymail
Sincerely,
--
