Greetings friends,
I have run into a tricky recovery. I have never needed more than the following
to recover most drives â¦
"sudo ./ddrescue -v /dev/disk0s6 MyRecovery.dmg MyRecovery.log"
Things didn't look like they were rolling along so I went to check the manual
for starting and stopping. I noted there was a --sparse option which I know Mac
OS X would likely support but I am not sure how to implement it.
I am also not sure how to stop ddrescue then later resume. I think this would
be handy to know.
Does anyone recall seeing any sites that have some good examples of usage as it
applies to Mac OS X?
I originally started with tips from the Mac OS X Hints website so if there are
other sites that anyone knows of I would appreciate being pointed in their
direction. I know this isn't a bug but I don't know where else I can find the
information.
Regards,
John
