Hi John,

The use of ddrescue in Mac OS X is a bit different than other systems.

1. I haven't got the --sparse option to work properly in OS X. So i dont use it. Maybe others will say otherwise.

2. You should use /dev/rdisk0s6 this way you will be using the raw device. Much faster recovery.

3. You are already using a log file, this way you can stop ddrescue just by pressing ctrl-c and resume it by running the same command pointing to the same log file.

For normal rescues this should cover it. For unnormal cases you should play around with it.
