Hello, Antonio and ddrescue community!
First, I have successfully compiled ddrescue to show the device names, used
'./configure --enable-non-posix', then 'make', 'make install'

But, this part of the question is still actual:

Also, '-d' option on my system does not cause errors now!
Does it do the same, as 'hdparm --direct /dev/sda' ?
Now - about a found bug (or this must be so?):
When being run with --cpass=0 (skip copying non-tried areas, just do trimming
and scraping) - remaining time includes non-tried blocks.
Here is the output:
