Hello,I use ddrescue exclusively from the System Rescue CD environment. The latest System Rescue CD build of 2018-04-02 (see http://www.system-rescue-cd.org/Download/) still uses ddrescue-1.21-r1 (see http://www.system-rescue-cd.org/Detailed-packages-list/), even though 1.23 has been available since 2018-02-19.
Two questions:1. Antonio, would it be effective if you contacted the System Rescue CD people to get them to incorporate updating to the latest ddrescue version as part of their release procedure?
2. What is the easiest way to "slipstream" in the latest ddrescue into an .iso file of System Rescue CD, so that when I create a burn a CD from that ISO file I basically get the same result? (I'm Windows 7 64-bit based, so other than when I boot into System Rescue CD to run ddrescue, I don't really have make capabilities to compile, nor I am really sure how to do so in a way that would work in the System Rescue CD environment, so would need to be able to slipstream a pre-compiled version compatible with the System Rescue CD environment.)
Thanks! Shahrukh
