Hi, Im a developer and in my company make python/glade programs for non
english software. Also deploy on the Inkscape proyect.
After 5 days working on a multilingual program without english I want y
give one or realy 2 ideas for xgettext:
--checksumId ## set original text as translator comment and
checksum/hash id thath need to be ASCII
and for gettext:
--checksumedId ...
This help a lot to not need much english to develop/read code for
example in "specialiced" programs.
I dont need to do this for my current proyect, I manualy parse the pot
and po files so I get what I want, but too bad and error prune with lot
of regex and time spent.
I use [a-zAZ09_] regex for the id that seems more descritive than a
checksum (note can be repeated, I baypass this, badly, cleaning duples
on post process)
Another interesting option is:
--mainlang # not need to be english in this po file the msgstr is
filled with original msgid.
Thanks so much for your work!
With regards and sorry for my bad english, Jabiertxof.
