djgpp works, and cygwin should do, both these are recommended. mingw
probably works too but I don't know if it's been tried. Richard Dawe
made a pre-packaged djgpp version (under v2gnu on the djgpp ftp's).
Marc-Andre Lemburg recently posted the address@hidden list about a
native DLL version built with msvc (but only using the generic C code)
