I couldn't agree more.  But then, I may be biased because i don't 
use rmail.

Even when i did not use an emacs-based mailreader (and used pine
instead) , this annoyed me.. the problem always is 
that you end up accidently letting the mouse-button go off the wrong
menu-item, and end up doing something when u intended something
completely different..  and starting an unintended mail-program can be
a big pain.. since it will fetch all mail/etc..


it is things like these, I ended up not using the menus at all..    

i do wish the menus were safer..
