URL: <http://savannah.gnu.org/bugs/?23182> Summary: Changing the command line interface of PSPPire Project: PSPP Submitted by: unknown_one Submitted on: Tuesday 05/06/2008 at 14:56 Category: Graphical User Interface Severity: 5 - Average Status: None Assigned to: None Open/Closed: Open Discussion Lock: Any Release: None Effort: 0.00 _______________________________________________________ Details: Hi I would love if the syntax of PSPPire would be changed to "PSPPire [<syntax or data file>] [-commands]". If PSPPire accepts a syntax or data file as its first parameter it is possible to create a file-association between *.sps and *.sav so you could start PSPPire by clicking on teh *.sps and the *.sav file. This is a common way of working in a GUI environment. Now: Usage: psppire {|--help|--version|--no-splash} Wished: Usage: psppire [<syntax or datafile>][|--help|--version|--no-splash] The benefit would be a greater useability. The drawback....well it wil cost time to implement.
