Follow-up Comment #8, bug #31511 (project pspp):
I"m fairly sure this is the same problem as reported in bug #32771
Let's summarize:
* The problem seems to be apparent only with Gtk+-2.22. Neither 2.20 nor
2.24 are affected. So it seems reasonable to assume that the bug is a Gtk
problem, not a pspp problem per se. That said, we should try to work around
it if possible.
* It seems to happen only when there is data in the recently-used file
record.
* Deleting recently-used.xbel seems to avoid the problem.
* Creating the file /usr/share/icons/oxygen/16x16/mimetypes/gtk-file.png
also seems to fix it - or changing the icon theme.
