I have mixed feelings about this.
On the one hand, I'm somewhat wary of putting features into an application
which belong in the operating system. (I find it bizarre that in Windows a
user cannot change the language).
On the other hand, I've been planning for some time to introduce some
flexibility into the way the language can be chosen. I can envisage a
scenario, for example where (say) a Russian user might be using pspp to
generate a statistical report for publication in (say) a Japanese journal.
So he would want the GUI to be in the Russian and the Output to be in
Japanese. We can do such tricks, but it will be a load on translators and
will take time to develop.
