Follow-up Comment #7, bug #45325 (project pspp):
This problem is gone in the current debian unstable with libgtk-3-dev version
3.16.4-2. Iceweasel opens an shows the correct site. So psppire does not crash
on
Macos via macports
Windows
Debian unstable
The crash happens on debian old-stable (debian 7).
I have not tried the current debian stable (debian 8).
