Hi John,
your effort is appreciated!
I will be ready to test ... at least with re for win-7-64.
Just let me know when and where to download ...
Let me iterate once again what is the problem.
After installing the program it does not start. Instead a smal windows pops up
saying that the "ScriptIsComplex"-Routine has no entry point in GDI32.DLL.
(GDI32.dll is an important system library since ever for all windows versions.)
I then searched the internet for this "ScriptIsComplex"-Routine and what it
does. I found information for it at Microsofts website.
Just a little bit down there MS states:
****
Important Starting with Windows 8: To maintain the ability to run on
Windows 7, a module that uses Uniscribe must specify Usp10.lib before
gdi32.lib in its library list.
****
I hope a programmer knows to translate this into something meaningful.
To me this gives a hint where the problem might be, because it relates to the
error-message showing up at starting pspp that the entry point for
"ScriptIsComplex" is missing in GDI32.dll. Maybe the solution is just a matter
of placing "usp10.lib" before "gdi32.lib" in - to be determined - some
module's library list.
I hope for the best
Best regards,
Peter
