Just another quick note: if you have not found it already, look at
<http://www.gnu.org/software/hurd/open_issues/virtualization.html> where
I once began collecting some bits. For example, you may want to read
»View-OS: Change your View on Virtualization« linked from
<http://www.gnu.org/software/hurd/open_issues/virtual_square_view-os.html>,
which has some case (»user stories«) -- perhaps an attempt for a project
would be: take these, and then show how these things can be done much
more naturally on GNU Hurd?
In case it's not obvious: feel free to change all these pages as you see
fit.
