I understand why sqlite3 is not backward compatible, but what is
wrong w/ opengl?
I wouldn't characterize it as API change, rather extension. So, yes,
they do.

This situation is well known to the author, Felix.
However, wouldn't expect a direct fix soon, as there
are about 220 eggs, and a lot of authors.
