Right, it is probably not overly helpful. What a compiler does with
your code is always kind of mysterious and the implications of
optimizations may be counter-intuitive or contrary to what a user
expects. Documenting all the implications is next to im possible,
considering the heavy rewriting that takes place.

Nein, ehrlich gesagt. But anyway, I was not offended (just grumpy),
and I hope I didn't offend you. Taking the right choice in what should
be optimized and what not is something that I find very hard. I will
try to document these things more throroughly.
