Oh, it seems this thread from a year ago still blips up from time to time.

So, here, just to avoid confusion where you can chat with us now:

We've since moved far away from slack. You can find us on matrix; our main room 
is
#gnuradio:gnuradio.org . If you like, you *can* use our own Element instance 
running on
https://chat.gnuradio.org . But, there's many more matrix clients that you can 
use,
alternatively, and you just need a (federated) matrix account *somewhere*; 
doesn't have to
be on our homeserver¹ (e.g. if you already have a matrix.org account, that 
works).

Also, the bidirectional IRC bridge to #gnuradio on freenode is active, too. 
(that's why
you seen username[m|gr] users in IRC: these are "puppets" of the matrix users 
in the
#gnuradio:gnuradio.org room).
