Thanks all for your responses. Sorry it took me so long to reply; my
roommates decided it would be cool to not pay AT&T so our cable modem was
shut off yesterday. :-P
To answer Rhys' question about why I ask... Actually I'm interested in
possibly contributing to one project or another (though I haven't yet
determined how much--if any--time I have for such work). If I were to
contribute, I'd want to better understand the differences in philosophical
motivations behind each project (to see which I believe in), and the
business/deployment plan and development progress of each (to see which I
think has the better chance of being a competitor to .NET soon), and the
technical differences (to see which is focusing on the kinds of work I might
be interested in). :-)
That was the idea. Your info helped much, and I'll go do some more reading
now.
