Actually, the fact that search does not match `see' when
Info-hide-note-references is enabled is also confusing, unless one
knows the internals of Info-hide-note-references.  However, it would
be hard to do anything about that one.  As I already said, to me the
_real_ bug is that the Info-hide-note-references implementation abuses
the display property.  The point of setting
`Info-hide-note-references' to nil is to avoid all bugs that
inevitably come with a non-nil setting, including this one.
