Life is too short [...]
In defence of the committee and recent occurrences -
I am very happy to know some of the committee are on holiday.
Too much computers can be bad for humans.
May they come back fresh and full of energy :-)
[...]
I think as far as the election debate goes, we've kept things civilised
and free of infighting. Just healthy discussion on what happened and how
to avoid it in future.
I would say that if anything, the way Andrew has approached this speaks
volumes for his inclusion.
All true.
From my observation there was an unexpected but noticeable absence of
the usual suspects from the committe to maintain a balance of arguments.
IMHO Alex quite rightly put everything off for a week.
[...] If we can't survive a few
issues like this and keep everyone on-side, we aren't going to get very
far.
More diverse participation is the key to survival and success.
We need more people with time, knowing all the organisational
protocols, steering the committee.
This was clearly stated at the recent AFFSOC by the committee.
One comment I will like to throw in is that people for personal gains
*using free software* should be welcomed and helped all the way.
I think there are enough people here to preserve and protect the free
software bit.
Peace,
Ramanan
